Contemplative Outreach is a global network of Christian spirituality made up of individuals and small faith communities committed to living the contemplative dimension of the Gospel. Much of this contemplative orientation is a retrieval of Centering Prayer practice from the Christian tradition made possible through the work of Father Thomas Keating (1923-2018). Commitment to a daily Centering Prayer practice unites an international, interdenominational community. Other practices include Lectio Divina, Welcoming Prayer, and The Active Prayer Practice. Contemplative Outreach provides material and prayerful support for each level of its community. Individual practitioners, small Centering Prayer groups and local chapters together create a global community of oneness in silence.
